Abstract
A benzopyrone preparation has been shown to cause a statistically significant increase in the rate of removal of blood injected into the posterior chamber of the eyes of guinea pigs. These results add support to the claims of four independent workers that benzopyrone therapy is of benefit in the treatment of traumatic and postoperative hemophthalmia, retinal hemorrhage and turbidity of the vitreous body.
